Bhopal: Acharya Shankar Cultural Integration Trust, Culture Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, with the aim of popularizing Advaita Vedanta philosophy and the concept of universal unity, established the Ekatm Dham Mandapam in Sector 18 of Mahakumbh area, Harishchandra Marg, focusing on the life philosophy of Acharya Shankar. ‘Shankaro Lokshankar:’ Katha was inaugurated on Saturday by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, the head of Shri Yoga Nandeshwar Math, Mysore, Shri Shankar Shankar. In the presence of Bharti Mahaswami, the treasurer of Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and the founder of Geeta Parivar, Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, met. Let it be known that the Katha will be organized from 04 pm every day till 12th February.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the exhibition based on Acharya Shankar’s contribution and Advaita Vedanta. He said, “Adi Shankaracharya’s contribution is very relevant not only for his time, but also for the present and future. The usefulness of his teachings and principles in relation to Sanatan Dharma is as clear today as it would have been difficult to imagine in those times. His works are amazing and unique.”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work done by Acharya Shankar for Sanatan Dharma and cultural unity not only restored the basic principles of religion, but also did the wonderful work of binding India in the thread of unity. The work and thoughts of Adi Shankaracharya are still revered in the animate and inanimate world and will remain so till eternity. Underlining the commitment of the Madhya Pradesh government, he said, “The Madhya Pradesh government is always with the revival and expansion of this project. It is our duty to carry forward this golden legacy of Acharya Shankar.” “The story of India is constantly resonating like the high sky, and the contribution of Acharya Shankar will always take this story to new heights.”
While praising the Ekatma Dham project on the occasion of the launch of the five-day Katha ‘Shankaro Lokshankar:’ based on the life of Adi Shankaracharya, treasurer of Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra, Shri Govinddev Giri said, “Among all the experiments that have been done in the last 10 years of changing India, the best experiment has been done by the Madhya Pradesh government by building Ekatma Dham.” Shri Giri said, “In such difficult circumstances, only the Madhya Pradesh government can do such work. The holy land of Omkareshwar gives a glimpse of the principles of Advaita and the cultural consciousness of India.” Emphasizing the importance of Acharya Shankar’s literature and his contribution, he said, “If there is any best literature to awaken the consciousness of the nation, then it is that of Adi Shankaracharya. His thoughts, his teachings and his concept of Advaita Vedanta are capable of giving a new direction to our nation.”
“Ekatma Dham is the beacon of our culture, which will guide and inspire the coming generations. Bhagwan Adi Shankaracharya is the soul of our culture and his thoughts are as relevant today as they were in his time.” On the first day of the Katha, he mentioned the stories of Acharya Shankar composing Kanakdhara Stotra in the glory of Mother Lakshmi during his childhood, taking sanyaas in the Purna river and Acharya Shankar’s compassion towards Mother Aryamba. On this occasion, a large number of listeners including sadhus and saints were present.
