The words of Sikh Gurus and their sacrifice are amazing and historic: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

It is important to connect history with education, hence an initiative was taken in Madhya Pradesh to include the contribution of Sikhs in the syllabus.

-On the occasion of Guru Nanak Ji’s birthday, the court of Guru Granth Sahib was decorated at the Chief Minister’s residence.
-Sikh women took the responsibility of Ardaas.

 

Bhopal: On the request of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a grand darbar of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was decorated at the Chief Minister’s residence on the 555th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Ji and langar was arranged. As soon as Chief Minister Dr. Yadav entered the darbar wearing a turban, all the people present welcomed him by showering flowers with the slogan “Jo Bole So Nihal – Sat Shri Akal”. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav enjoyed the words of Guruvani and participated in Kirtan by sitting amidst the Sangat decorated with representatives of the Sikh community from almost all the districts of the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the words of Sikh Gurus are amazing. They talked about Sangat and Pangat. Sikh Gurus gave important guidance even in adverse circumstances. They set a path that we cannot differentiate between the servants of God. There is no place for hypocrisy here. Everyone is equal for this country. This is the Veda sentence. The essence of all the four Vedas is also that we should believe in the power of God. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that I salute the 10 Sikh Gurus. They saved the Sanatan culture through the tradition of religion and spirituality. No one can forget the sacrifice of Sikhs. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi found a solution for visiting the birthplace of Guru Nanak Ji in Pakistan. The sacrifice and martyrdom of Sikh Gurus and 4 Sahibzadas is an indelible part of history. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there is a detailed mention of this martyrdom in class 7 in the school education curriculum of Madhya Pradesh. Similarly, research work on the martyrdom of Sikhs will be encouraged at the level of higher education. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today there is a need to connect our history with education. The state government will work towards providing employment to the needy people of the Sikh community. Similarly, necessary arrangements will be made for the arrangements related to the Gurudwara of Arera Colony Bhopal and other Gurudwaras.

MP Shri V.D. Sharma said that this is the first occasion of such a magnificent program. Today Guru Granth Sahib was enthroned here. The entire Sikh community is delighted. In the program, Shri Surendra Singh Arora of Ujjain said that there are many historical Gurudwaras in the state which are heritage. Necessary initiatives should be taken for their maintenance. Shri Narendra Singh Saluja of Indore said that Sikh sisters have performed the duty of Ardaas in the Chief Minister’s residence. This is a historic occasion. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has made a place in everyone’s heart. Ms. Neha Bagga said that the initiative of giving information about the martyrdom of Sikhs in educational institutions is praiseworthy. When Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was the Higher Education Minister, the work of adding details of the martyrdom of Sikhs in textbooks started. Shri Surjit Singh Tuteja said that today the occasion of 555th Prakash Mahotsav in the Chief Minister’s residence is very special.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was honoured by the Sikh community of Madhya Pradesh during the Prakash Parv organised at the Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was also presented a kirpan. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed representatives of the Sikh community and religious lovers from various places of the state including the capital in the programme organised at the Chief Minister’s residence on the 555th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. At the end of the programme, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also participated in the Ardaas. On this occasion, sisters of the Sikh community performed the ritual of special prayer (Ardaas). Backward Class Welfare Minister Mrs. Krishna Gaur, MLA Mr. Rameshwar Sharma, former Union Minister Mr. Suresh Pachauri, public representatives from various cities of the state including former Minister Mr. Hardeep Singh Dung, Mr. Harjeet Singh Babbu, Mr. Jaspal Arora, Mr. Inderjit Singh Khanuja, Mr. Sumit Pachauri and officials of various organisations of the capital, representatives of the Sikh community, members of Gurudwara management committees were present in large numbers in the programme.
