The new law of hit and run is not yet implemented, appeal not to fall into rumours.
Raipur: On the hit and run case, the Central Government has clarified that the law brought for hit and run cases has not been implemented yet. Right now only the old law is applicable. It has been reported that some selfish elements are misleading transport organizations and drivers by giving wrong information through fake letters. Motorists need not be afraid of rumors being spread by selfish elements by giving wrong information.
It has been clarified by the Union Home Ministry that before implementing the new law, any decision will be taken only after talking to the representatives of All India Motor Transport Congress. Drivers do not need to be misled or frightened in any way. In this regard, drivers have been appealed not to pay attention to any kind of rumours.
It is noteworthy that the Union Home Ministry has sent a letter to the All India Motor Transport Congress and made it clear that the concerned department of the Government of India will talk to the representatives of the All India Motor Transport Congress before implementing this law and only after that a decision will be taken. . Union Home Secretary Shri Ajay Bhalla has said that before implementing Indian Judicial Code 106(2), we will discuss with the representatives of All India Motor Transport Congress and only then we will take a decision.
