More than 900 urban families in Raigarh district received the key of happiness
Raipur. On the occasion of his birthday today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred the first installment amount directly to the bank accounts of homeless families of Chhattisgarh state for building their own permanent houses. In the ‘More Housing-More Rights’ program, Finance Minister OP Choudhary washed the feet of more than 900 beneficiaries of Raigarh urban area and handed over the keys for house warming.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined virtually and transferred the first installment amount to the beneficiaries selected for housing construction and congratulated and wished the beneficiaries. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that the goal of his government has been to bring prosperity in the lives of economically weaker people of the society. In 10 years, we have achieved tremendous success in achieving this goal. On this occasion, more than 23 thousand urban families were given the keys of their constructed houses and the completion certificate of housing.
Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, while addressing the program, said that today is an important and happy day that you got the opportunity to do Griha Pravesh here on the occasion of the birthday of our country’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is continuously working for the sustainable development of the state. The government is doing the work of PM Housing for the economically weaker section on priority basis. Due to which the dream of a large number of people to have a permanent house is coming true. Congratulating the beneficiaries who are doing Griha Pravesh in urban areas, he said that today is a day of satisfaction for our government.
Handed over the house keys to elderly female beneficiaries after washing their feet-
Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary today performed Griha Pravesh by providing symbolic keys to more than 900 beneficiaries of urban areas of Raigarh district under PM Awas Yojana. During this, he washed the feet of two senior women beneficiaries, Smt. Khimla Rathia of Dharamjaigarh and Smt. Salma Momin of Lalunga and handed over the keys of the house to them with respect.
It is known that out of 9620 approved houses under Raigarh urban area, 8133 have been completed, out of which more than 900 beneficiaries have been given Griha Pravesh. Similarly, under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, the target of 38,796 permanent waiting list and 6305 Awas Plus beneficiaries, totaling 45,101 beneficiaries, has been achieved for the financial year 2024-25, which is at 5th place among the highest targets received by the districts of Chhattisgarh. The first installment amount has been released to 26,255 beneficiaries of the district. 12,589 houses have been completed in the district in the last one year.
Finance Minister administered the oath of cleanliness-
Finance Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary administered the oath of cleanliness to all the people present in the program. During this, the MPs, public representatives and citizens present took an oath to dedicate 100 hours a year to cleanliness. It is worth noting that the corporation administration will run Swachhata Hi Seva, Sanskar Swachhata, Swabhaav Swachhata Abhiyan in the city from 17 to 2 October 2024. During this, various programs will be organized every day including the Kelo Maha Safai Abhiyan.
