The Herculean task of providing water to every farm is being carried out in the state: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Bhagiratha work is being done to provide water to every farm through river linking campaign in the country. It is a matter of pride for Madhya Pradesh that two multipurpose big river linking projects like Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal have been inaugurated. Today, Narmada water has come to Tarana from Narmada-Kshipra multipurpose micro lift irrigation project. If water reaches the dry fields, then crops like gold will flourish. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Narmada-Kshipra multipurpose micro multipurpose project worth Rs 2 thousand 489 crore 65 lakh. The ceremony was also addressed by Ujjain District Incharge and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Employment Shri Gautam Tetwal, General Secretary of Akhara Parishad Shri Harigiri Maharaj, MP Shri Anil Ferozia. Shajapur MLA Shri Arun Bhimawad, Tarana MLA Shri Mahesh Parmar along with regional public representatives and eminent citizens were present in large numbers.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the Indore High Level Bridge of Water Resources Department at a cost of Rs 9.64 crore, Community Health Center at a cost of Rs 5 crore 73 lakh and 11 Nal Jal Projects at a cost of Rs 5 crore 21 lakh in Tarana. He also performed Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of new building of Sub-Health Center at a cost of Rs 7 crore 15 lakh and High School building in village Kaderi under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the country is developing at a rapid pace. Today India has emerged as the most powerful country in the world. Today India has fame and respect all over the world. We are progressing in every field. Today we have the most modern weapons and equipment in the defense sector.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the home of rivers, there are more than 250 rivers here. Prime Minister Shri Modi has started the work of river linking projects by resolving the river disputes going on between various states for years. There was a dispute going on for 20 years between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan regarding the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) project. Now the dispute has ended and the project is taking concrete shape. Similarly, after consensus between the states of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, work has started on the Ken-Betwa Link Project. Efforts are being made to deliver water to every farm in the state through all these projects.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is continuously working for the welfare of farmers. Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana, farmers are given an amount of Rs 12000 per year. Our government is procuring wheat at the rate of Rs 2600 per quintal from this year. With the aim of increasing the income of farmers, the government is also promoting animal husbandry. The government has also decided to give subsidy to those who rear 10 cows and Rs 5 per liter subsidy to milk producers. Our aim is to make the state number one in milk production.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that women empowerment is our priority. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the Central Government has decided to give 33% reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha in the coming time. For this, such additional seats will be increased by the year 2029. Women are being given 50% reservation in local body elections and 35% reservation in jobs in the state. Schemes like Chief Minister Ladli Behna have proved to be very useful for women. Now the government has decided that women working in the readymade garments industry will be given an incentive of Rs 5000 per month. Training centers will also be opened to train women in readymade garments. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government will give work to every hand. Every youth will get employment according to his qualification. We are going to recruit about 01 lakh government posts in 1 year. A large number of recruitments are being done in the police and health departments.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that for thousands of years, power has been under the rule of religion. This culture is known as Sanatan culture. Kings, Maharajas, emperors are all under the rule of religion based society. Our culture is known by the name of Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna. Lord Ram spent 11 years in Chitrakoot Dham of our state. We will develop Chitrakoot Dham like Ayodhya. Similarly, we will develop various places in the state where Lord Krishna’s Leelas have taken place as pilgrimage sites. While making all the arrangements for Simhastha-2028, we will ensure that saints and devotees do not face any kind of trouble.
Main points of Narmada-Kshipra Micro Lift Irrigation Project
Irrigation facility will be available in 30 thousand 218 hectares of land of 100 villages of the region through Narmada-Kshipra multipurpose micro lift irrigation project. This will irrigate 27 thousand 490 hectares of 83 villages of two tehsils Tarana and Ghatia of Ujjain district and 2728 hectares of land of 17 villages of Shajapur tehsil of Shajapur district. The total command area of the project is 30 thousand 218 hectares. Under the project, water will be lifted from Omkareshwar reservoir (near village Badel of district Khandwa) through a pipe line of 3 meters diameter at the rate of 15 cubic meters per second to a height of 435 meters. The total length of the main pipe line of the project is 200 kilometers. A total of 50 pump motor sets have been installed in 06 pumping stations for water lifting. A total of 89 megawatt electricity will be required to lift water. In the project, a total of 2254 km (03 meter diameter to 63 mm diameter) pipe line has been laid for distribution system up to 2.5 hectare plot. In the project, one OMS box has been installed per 20 hectare plot, i.e. a total of 1539 boxes. The entire operation of the project will be done through SCADA and water will be provided up to 2.5 hectare plot at a pressure of 20 meters. As per the Prime Minister Shri Modi’s call for ‘Per Drop-More Crop’, on availability of pressurized water, farmers will be able to avail the benefit of more irrigation with less water through sprinklers and drip. On getting irrigation through this method, farmers will not need to level the field and will get the benefit and production of more useful irrigation with less water.
