The government issued guidelines for the dignified celebration of Independence Day

The main function will be held in the capital Raipur
The Chief Minister will hoist the flag and broadcast the message to the public
Raipur 08 July 2025: Necessary preparations have been started at the government level to celebrate the national festival Independence Day in a dignified and grand manner across the state. In this regard, a state level coordination meeting was held recently under the chairmanship of the Additional Chief Secretary, Chhattisgarh Government. In the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary directed all the concerned departments that Independence Day should be organized in an environment full of dignity, order and national spirit like every year. The main function of Independence Day in the capital Raipur will be held at the Police Parade Ground from 9 am. On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will hoist the national flag and give a message to the public. Guard of Honor will also be given to the Chief Minister by the joint parade in the function. The responsibility of the parade of the main function organized in Raipur will be under the Inspector General of Police, Chhattisgarh Armed Force. The parade will include contingents of BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (women and men), Nagar Sena, NCC cadets etc. Medals and awards will be distributed by various departments on the occasion of Independence Day. For this, the departments will have to constitute a jury and send the list of selected names to the General Administration Department by 29 July 2025. Proposals received after the prescribed date will not be considered.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will deliver ‘Janata Ke Naam Sandesh’ in the main function. This message will be broadcast across the state through Doordarshan and Akashvani. After the main function, patriotic group dance and singing will be presented by the students. A jury will be constituted by the School Education Department for the programs of school children and prize distribution will be done at the venue itself. Collector, Superintendent of Police and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Raipur have been entrusted with several important responsibilities regarding the arrangements for the main Independence Day celebrations. Lighting arrangements will be ensured on all public buildings and national monuments of the state on the night of August 15. Private institutions have also been appealed to hoist the flag and do the lighting. Instructions have been issued to the collectors to organize programs and exhibitions at the district, development block and panchayat levels. The families of freedom fighters and soldiers martyred in Naxalite violence will be respectfully invited to the celebrations.
