The first draft of the new industrial policy of the state will be ready by July 31

Raipur. Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan has directed the officials of the department to release the first draft of the new industrial policy 2024-29 of the state by July 31. For the new industrial policy, the Industry Department is constantly consulting with different industry organizations and taking their valuable suggestions, so far suggestions have been taken from 20 different industry associations of the state. Apart from this, the study on the industry policy of other states including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh is also being done by the department. Emphasis is being laid on increasing investment incentives in Chhattisgarh to national, international investors and industrialists.

Industry Minister Shri Dewangan has instructed the officials that there should be a focus on every sector in the new industrial policy. Industries of new sectors like pharmaceutical, agriculture, textile and other sectors should be set up as much as possible, so that more people get employment and investment in the state also increases. With the establishment of industries of these sectors, the possibility of increasing pollution will also be less.

For the new policy, Industry Minister Shri Devangan himself will visit other states and meet the industry representatives there and take suggestions. So that the good and incentive grant demands of the industry policy of those states can be studied and tested. Recently, Minister Shri Devangan had discussed with the representatives of ICC in New Delhi for the new policy.
