Chief Minister attended the 10th Foundation Day celebrations of Dainik Navpradesh's Bilaspur edition

Raipur 23 November 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, during his Bilaspur visit today, attended the felicitation ceremony organized on the occasion of the 10th Foundation Day of the Bilaspur edition of the Dainik Navpradesh newspaper group at Lakhiram Auditorium. The Chief Minister said that journalism is the fourth pillar of democracy, and its importance is meaningful only when it brings forward the voice of every section of the society. Today, in this program, honoring eminent people of every genre is the criterion of social concerns. In the ceremony, the Chief Minister honored talented persons doing excellent work in various fields by presenting shawls and mementos. These include simple-hearted Padma Shri Jageshwar Yadav, a resident of Jashpur, who did excellent work for the upliftment of the Birhor society, litterateur Dr. Satish Jaiswal, C.V. Raman University’s Registrar Dr Arvind Tiwari, Kathak dance guru Ms Vasanti Vaishnav, senior journalist Mr Nathmal Sharma, poet and litterateur Mr Ramkumar Tiwari, business tycoon Mr Kamal Soni, service oriented Mr Piyush Srivastava, senior journalist Mr Sushil Shukla, Mr Sanskar Agarwal, Mr Vikram Singh Thakur, Bilaspur Press Club President Mr Irshad Ali are present.
The Chief Minister praised Padma Shri awardee Mr Jageshwar Yadav, who hails from a small village in Jashpur, and said that he has devoted his entire life to the upliftment of the Birhor tribe, who is called the adopted son of the President. He goes to Birhor dominated villages on foot and gives information about the government’s schemes and has been working to make them aware. He is quite popular in Jashpur, Raigarh, Korba and other districts. In the presence of the Chief Minister, an MoU was signed between Navpradesh Sanstha and Kalyani Sanstha for creating public awareness about de-addiction.
Addressing the programme, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that in today’s time, the work of print media is challenging. He congratulated and wished Navpradesh’s Bilaspur edition on its 10th foundation day. Deputy Chief Minister Sao also congratulated the talented people being honoured in the function and wished them a bright future.
