Raipur. 76-year-old Chanda Bai Kamar and her husband Mangal Singh Kamar (80 years), residents of the forest village Baldakchar located at the end of Kasdol development block of Balodabazar Bhatapara district, had a very financially difficult life. Therefore, a concrete house was like a dream for them, but today they have their own concrete house with the help of PM Janman Awas Yojana. They say that their struggling life has come to an end and the dream of two generations has been fulfilled today with the PM Janman Awas Yojana.
This couple, who somehow made ends meet by working as laborers all their life, did not have enough resources to build their own concrete house. Living in a hut for years, they saw many ups and downs, but one dream was always alive in their hearts – the dream of their own concrete house. However, time took a new turn when they got a chance to build their own concrete house under the PM Janman Awas Yojana. This scheme was no less than a boon for Chanda Bai and her husband. Now they are able to see their dream of living in a safe and permanent house come true. Chanda Bai says, “We never thought that at this age we would be able to see our own house. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai have made our dream come true.”
Daughter-in-law’s family also benefited
Mrs. Chanda Bai Kumar’s daughter-in-law, Mrs. Budhar Bai Kumar, married Kishun Lal two years ago. However, after some time she separated and started living with her family. Budhar Bai and her husband earn their livelihood by making brooms, tukna, soup etc. from bamboo. They have two children, daughter Babli who is studying in class 7th and son Shivam who is just one year old. Budhar Bai’s family has also benefited from the PM Janman Awas Yojana. Under this scheme, they also got a permanent house. Due to which their life has become more prosperous now. Now Budhar Bai lives in a safe and beautiful house with her family. She says, “This scheme not only gave us a roof but also gave stability and respect in our lives.”
The dream of two generations came true
The story of both Chanda Bai and Budhar Bai proves that PM Janman Awas Yojana has not only brought a house but also stability, security and respect in their lives. Both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and said that this scheme has proved to be a milestone in turning their dreams into reality. Chanda Bai said proudly, “Living in our own house at this age is like a dream come true for us, we got a permanent house after two generations. Budhar Bai said, “This scheme is also a strong foundation for the future of our children.
