Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the ‘Karmabhoomi se Janmabhoomi’ scheme being run for the development of water storage capacity in the ground by collecting rainwater is an innovative initiative. Under this scheme, the traders from other states doing business in Gujarat are getting bores installed in their states with their own resources. Work has started under this scheme in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. It is a matter of happiness that the scheme has a target of installing 15 thousand bores in the entire state. This campaign of saving every drop of water, being run with the participation of traders doing business in Gujarat without government resources, is commendable. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav held a tripartite meeting on Thursday at Shramik Shakti Bhavan New Delhi with Union Water Power Minister  CR Patel and Rajasthan Chief Minister  Bhajanlal Sharma on the effective implementation of the ‘Karmabhoomi se Janmabhoomi’ program. In the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding appointing the District Collector as the nodal officer for the implementation of the scheme, completing the scheme in a quality and timely manner and removing the obstacles coming in its implementation.

Union Jal Shakti Minister Patil said that in order to make the water conservation resolution of Prime Minister shri Narendra Modi a mass movement, the program ‘Karmabhoomi se Janmabhoomi’ has been conceived. In this, businessmen from Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar living in Gujarat are making arrangements for bores for the purpose of water conservation in their native land. The Union Minister informed that one lakh 60 thousand bores are to be built in Rajasthan and 15 thousand bores in Madhya Pradesh. It has been decided to build 4 bores in each village in 10 districts of Bihar state. He expressed hope for the successful implementation of this scheme with the cooperation of the states. Rajasthan Chief Minister Sharma informed that this scheme started by the businessmen of Surat on the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has started in Sirohi and Jodhpur districts of Rajasthan. He expressed hope that this scheme will prove to be a boon for cooperation in water recharge in the state of Rajasthan.
