Uttarakhand Weather Update: Sunshine in Plains, Light Rain Expected in Four Districts
Most parts of Uttarakhand will experience dry weather today, but the Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in a few areas. Meanwhile, bright sunshine in the plains might cause some discomfort due to rising temperatures.
Chance of Rain in These Uttarakhand Districts
According to Vikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Department, light rain is expected in Chamoli, Pauri, Uttarkashi, and Pithoragarh districts on March 23. However, in the plains, the strong sunlight will likely push temperatures higher. Weather experts predict that temperatures will continue to rise in the coming days, leading to increased heat in lower regions.
Temperature Expected to Rise
Dehradun recorded a maximum temperature of 30.6°C today, which is about 3°C above normal. In Udham Singh Nagar, the maximum temperature has reached 32.2°C. Meanwhile, Haridwar is expected to see temperatures ranging from 13.4°C (minimum) to 32.07°C (maximum). In the hill areas, Mukteshwar recorded a maximum temperature of 19.6°C, while New Tehri saw a high of 20.6°C. As the temperatures continue to rise, people in the plains should prepare for warmer days ahead.
