Summer camp is honing the hidden talents and skills of children

Somewhere on the walls and somewhere on the books, children are seen drawing with their tiny hands. Someone is singing, someone is dancing and someone is acting. Children are engrossed in interesting activities like leaf art, vegetable painting, colored rice art, clay toy making, thread design and mask making. Victory smiles are visible on the faces of children with different expressions.

This is the view of the schools of Chhattisgarh state. Summer camps are being organized by the School Education Department during summer holidays. Department Secretary Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi has taken positive and innovative initiatives for creativity among children. In Bastar, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur and Surguja divisions, children are taking steps towards learning basic literacy and numeracy by playing games in a happy environment. This is a unique way of conveying the recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020 to children, parents and teachers through the schools of Chhattisgarh.

The objective of this summer camp organized by the School Education Department is to bring out the hidden talents of children in a healthy environment along with entertainment and boost their self-confidence. To make the summer camp successful, one link is being added every day by Secretary Pardesi. NGOs working in the field of education have been asked to organize summer camps voluntarily in the state. Sports associations and other organizations are also being associated with this program. It is noteworthy that summer camp is a special camp for children to come together and have fun. They try new adventures and learn new things in a safe environment away from home. In this way the feeling of independence develops in them. They also make new friends and socialize, developing their social skills and self-confidence.

Summer camps are being organized from 7 am to 9.30 am during summer vacations in the state. This camp is completely voluntary. This is a very good program for children. All children have some talent. Encouraging the talents of children also improves their results.
