Made in a budget of just Rs 60 crore, this film of Maddock Supernatural Universe has created history by waving the flag of success. It has proved to be the highest grossing horror-comedy film in Hindi. Not only this, after defeating films like ‘Animal’, ‘Pathan’ and ‘Gadar 2’, it is on its way to becoming India’s highest grossing Hindi film.
Released on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August, this film had a bumper opening on the opening day itself. This film did a business of Rs 8.5 crore in pre-paid previews and Rs 51.8 crore on the first day. With this, the film earned Rs 291.65 crore in the first week. ‘Stree 2’ maintained its excellent performance in the second week as well. It earned Rs 141.4 crore in the second week of release.
This film of Maddock Supernatural Universe collected Rs 70.2 crore in the third week. Its earnings were Rs 36.1 crore in the fourth week. It did a business of Rs 24.65 crore in the fifth week.
