Stock market falls after record gain, Sensex breaks

The domestic stock market showed weakness on the last trading day of the week after a record closing on Thursday. On Friday, the major benchmark indices were seen trading with a decline in early trade. In early trade, the Sensex slipped by 500 points from the 80,000 level. On the other hand, the Nifty also weakened and came below 24200. At 9:43 am, the Sensex was seen trading at 79,674.73 with a decline of 417.00 (0.52%) points. On the other hand, the Nifty was seen trading at 24,217.85, down 92.21 (0.38%) points.
