Santos Straight Green Sheesham hardwood used
What makes this luxury car different is the material used in making it. Rolls Royce has used pieces of Santos Straight Green Sheesham hardwood to prepare it. It will be interesting to know that the wood used in it is a unique species of wood. Rolls-Royce has spent more than 8 thousand hours in preparing this car.
Design and performance
Arcadia is said to be inspired by the architecture and design of its commissioner’s favorite regions, including Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam. According to Rolls-Royce, the white color of the car includes aluminum and glass parts, which creates curiosity when seen from the front. Unlike the three other Droptails, the bottom of the Arcadia’s carbon fiber tub is designed with the same silver finish.
The wood paneling of the Arcadia’s interior was developed with references to the Commissioner’s favorite homes and classic cars. Santos straight grain rosewood was chosen for its “prospectus architectonics”, but, having one of the densest grains of any wood ever used in a Rolls-Royce, posed a major engineering challenge, as the machine When made from plastic, it bursts easily and when dried, the risk of bursting increases.
