Special efforts will be made to preserve tribal culture – Minister Dr. Shah
Strengthen the delivery system of departmental schemes
Bhopal: Tribal Affairs , Public Asset Management and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah on Monday conducted an in-depth review of the schemes and activities being run by the Tribal Affairs Department at the Ministry. Minister Dr. Shah directed to make the delivery system of departmental schemes more effective and strong. He said that special efforts should be made for the preservation of tribal culture. “Tribal Culture Conservation Centers” will be established in every tribal development block of the state.
Minister Dr. Shah said that information about the indigenous culture , traditional lifestyle , language, food habits , customs , clothing, folk songs and folk dances of all the tribes of the state will be provided at the Tribal Culture Conservation Center. Through this center, researchers will be provided with literature related to the evolution of the tribal community in the past and training, if required. Special efforts will be made here to preserve the traditional cuisine and cultural diversities of the tribes.
Hostel management will be strengthened
Minister Dr. Shah expressed his intention to create a separate cadre of hostel superintendents for the smooth functioning of all types of hostels under the Tribal Affairs Department. He said that soon the recruitment process will be started for all the vacant and new posts as per the new cadre of hostel superintendents in large numbers. Soon all the hostels of the department will have permanent superintendents.
During the review, Minister Dr. Shah expressed satisfaction over the progress of Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM Jan-Man). He said that remarkable work has been done in Madhya Pradesh under PM Jan-Man as compared to other states of the country. He also discussed the preparations for the implementation of ” Dharti Aaba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan ” . In this campaign, more than 93 lakh 23 thousand population of 18 lakh 58 thousand families of tribal communities residing in all the districts of the state will be benefited.
Minister Dr. Shah directed the officials to ensure the implementation of all departmental schemes and beneficiary-oriented activities in a timely and effective manner. He said that the government will take necessary steps at every level to preserve the rich culture of the tribal community.
Additional Chief Secretary and Director , Tribal Research and Development Institute ( TRI ) Mr. Vinod Kumar , Principal Secretary Tribal Affairs Mr. Gulshan Bamra , Deputy Secretary Ms. Vandana Vaidya , Deputy Secretary Mrs. Disha Pranay Nagvanshi , Commissioner Tribal Development Mr. Shriman Shukla and all other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
