Solar energy should be encouraged in the operation of Narmada Valley projects: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the Narmada river is the lifeline of the state. The activities conducted under the Narmada Valley Development Authority have greatly increased the area of ​​irrigation and energy production in the state, due to which the standard of living of the people of the state has improved. The Chief Minister said that the use of solar energy should be encouraged as much as possible in the irrigation system built under the project. By increasing the use of solar energy in water lifting, the expenditure on electricity can be reduced. Farmers should also be encouraged to use solar energy in irrigation. Maximum use of Mother Narmada’s water should be ensured in the interest of the state. The 267th meeting of the Narmada Valley Development Authority was held on Wednesday in Samatva Bhavan located at the Chief Minister’s residence under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Mr. Manish Rastogi and other officials of the Authority were present in the meeting.

In the meeting, decisions were taken regarding revised administrative approval of Shahid Ilap Singh Micro Lift Irrigation Project District Harda, Sendhwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project District Barwani, Niwali Lift Irrigation Project District Barwani, Dhar Micro Lift Irrigation Project, Maa Reva Lift Irrigation Project District Dewas. Technical aspects of the under-construction Sleemanabad Tunnel were discussed in the meeting. Along with this, the time extension proposal of Dobi Irrigation Project, Bhikangaon Binjalwada Micro Irrigation Project, I.S.P.-Parvati Link Project, Khalwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project District Khandwa was also discussed in the meeting.

In the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, a decision was taken regarding starting the construction work in the ISP reservoir and command of Upper Narmada Project in the construction of Morand Ganjal Dam and Pressurized Irrigation Project. In the meeting, discussions were held regarding administrative approval of Vijayraghavgarh Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Gunaur Micro Irrigation Project, Jhirnya Extension Micro Lift Irrigation Project, Badadev Chargawan Micro Lift Irrigation Project, Khedi Buzurg Lift Micro Irrigation Project District Dhar. In the meeting, instructions were given to prepare an action plan regarding the construction of ghats at places of religious, social and tourist importance of Narmada River.
