Silver rises, gold rises

Amid a strong trend in global markets, silver prices rose by Rs 2,600 in the bullion market of the national capital on Friday. After the jump in prices, silver reached Rs 95,900 per kg while gold also saw a strength of Rs 150 per 10 grams. According to HDFC Securities, strengthening for the second consecutive day, the price of silver rose by Rs 2,600 to Rs 95,900 per kg today. In the previous trading session, it had closed at Rs 93,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rose by Rs 150 to Rs 73,650 per 10 grams. In the previous session, gold closed at Rs 73,500 per 10 grams. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst Saumil Gandhi said, ‘Spot gold (24 carat) was trading at Rs 73,650 per 10 grams in the Delhi market amid signs of rise in the foreign market, showing a strength of Rs 150. Spot gold was trading at $ 2,366 an ounce in the international market, which is six dollars more than the previous close price.
