Sale of meat will remain closed in Chhattisgarh on January 22, government decided
Raipur. Chhattisgarh government has decided to keep slaughter houses and meat selling shops closed in Chhattisgarh on 22 January on the occasion of Ramlala Pran Pratistha. On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Urban Administration and Development Department has issued an order in this regard.
Let us tell you that even in Chhattisgarh, the maternal birthplace of Lord Ram, there is tremendous enthusiasm among the people of the state regarding the consecration of the life of Ramlala. Chhattisgarh government has announced half-day holiday in government institutions on January 22. All government institutions will remain closed till 2:30 pm on this day. Besides, there will be holiday in schools and colleges of the state also.

There will be a dry day in the state on January 22, the day of the consecration ceremony of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya. On this day, domestic and foreign liquor shops will remain closed and there will be a ban on serving liquor in hotels, bars, restaurants and clubs. Following the guidelines of the Chief Minister, all district offices, divisional and state level flying squad teams have been asked to follow the order seriously.
