RRB NTPC Exam Date 2025 Recruitment: Prepare for CBT 1 Exam

The schedule of CBT 1 exam for UG and Graduation recruitment can be released soon by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). The date of this exam will be announced through a notification, which will also include information about the admit card and exam city slip. A total of 11,558 posts will be recruited by RRB under NTPC UG and Graduation Recruitment. To participate in this recruitment, applicants will first have to appear in the Computer Based Test (CBT 1).

Exam Date and Admit Card – According to reports, the schedule of CBT 1 exam can be released soon by RRB. The information about the exam date will be available on the official website of RRB Chandigarh rrbcdg.gov.in. 10 days before the exam, the exam city slip will be made available for download for the candidates. Apart from this, admit cards will also be available for download 10 days before the exam date.

Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme – A total of 100 questions will be asked in the RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam. The question paper will include 40 questions from General Awareness, 30 questions from Mathematics, and 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning. Candidates will be given 90 minutes to solve the question paper. Keep in mind that there is a provision of minus marking in this exam. If you do not know the answer to a question, avoid guessing, as 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Passing Criteria – To pass the first stage exam, it will be mandatory for the General category candidates to get a minimum of 40 percent, EWS category 40 percent, OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and SC category 30 percent, and ST category minimum 25 percent marks. On the basis of the CBT exam, 15 times the number of candidates for the recruitment posts will be considered qualified for the CBT-2 exam.

Total number of recruitment – A total of 11,558 posts will be filled through this RRB recruitment. Out of these, 3,445 posts will be under undergraduate posts and 8,113 posts will be under graduate posts. This recruitment is a golden opportunity for all those who want to make a career in railways.
