Successful Trial Run on Roorkee-Deoband Railway Track, Trains to Run at 120 km/h Soon
A successful trial run was conducted on the Roorkee-Deoband railway track, with a train running at a speed of 120 km/h to test the track’s capability. Soon, trains will officially operate at this speed on the route.
Trial Run Completed Successfully
This railway project has been in the making for nearly 19 years, and now, with the successful trial, regular train operations are expected to begin soon. Railway Safety Commissioner Dinesh Chand Deswal, along with his team, inspected the route, including the newly constructed railway stations at Jhabrera and Banhera Khas. The officials also conducted a detailed survey of the track using a motor trolley.
Reduced Travel Time Between Delhi, Roorkee, and Dehradun
Commissioner Deswal stated that a thorough inspection of the track has been completed, and a report will be submitted to the Ministry of Railways. Based on the findings, the ministry will decide when to officially start train services on this route. Once operational, the new railway line will significantly reduce travel time between Delhi, Roorkee, and Dehradun, offering greater convenience to passengers.
