Recruitment process of forest guards under sports quota started in Forest Department
Raipur. On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, now the Forest Department in the state has started the recruitment process for 41 forest guard posts under sports quota. This recruitment process will run till 23 September 2024. This recruitment process will include players of sports like hockey, cricket, badminton, shooting, volleyball, basketball, swimming, football, weightlifting, kabaddi and athletics.
According to the information received from the Forest Department, the distribution of approved posts is as follows – 3 for hockey, 2-2 for cricket and badminton, 1 for shooting, 7 for volleyball, 4 for basketball, 1 for swimming, 3 for football, 5 for weightlifting, 6 for kabaddi and 7 for athletics. The list of eligible candidates called for the selection process is available on the official website of the Forest Department. Under the guidance of Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, the Forest Guard Recruitment Selection Process is being organized at major sports venues and grounds in Raipur, so that the players can avail high-level facilities. This recruitment process will be inspected by a committee of Forest Department officials, nodal officers of the department and representatives of the concerned sports associations. Players will be selected on the basis of their stamina and sports skills, so that only the best and physically capable candidates can be selected for these posts. This recruitment not only encourages sports, but also provides an opportunity to the players to contribute to environmental protection.
