Rani Durgavati training and e-library centers will be opened in 40 tribal development blocks: Dr. Vijay Shah

Tribal Affairs, Public Asset Management, Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Dr. Vijay Shah held a meeting of all the departmental officers of the division in Indore and reviewed various schemes. Divisional Commissioner Malsingh, Police Commissioner Makarand Deuskar, Divisional Deputy Commissioner of Tribal Affairs Department and Scheduled Caste Development, Divisional Assistant Commissioners of all the districts of the division, Development Block Officers and other concerned officers and employees were present in the meeting.

District officers will do spot inspection of construction works every three months.

Minister Dr. Vijay Shah conducted a detailed review of district-wise departmental work. While reviewing the construction works being done in the districts, he directed that the concerned departmental officers must physically monitor such construction works whose cost is more than Rs 50 lakh. This is the responsibility of departmental officers. He said that the construction work should be started in the same financial year in which the works have been approved. A separate list should be prepared for such construction works which are pending for a long time. Minister Shri Vijay Shah said that all the district officers will organize a meeting with the construction agencies every month to review the progress of the construction works. Besides, spot inspection of the construction will also be done every three months. Officials should ensure that the place where construction work is being done is accessible to students from the transportation point of view.

Minister Dr. Vijay Shah, during the discussion regarding 1 thousand 166 hostels under the division, directed that the superintendents appointed in all the Scheduled Tribe hostels should be compulsorily given psychology training of 3 to 6 days every year. With this, the Superintendent will be able to understand the mental condition of the students and will also be able to give them appropriate advice. He said that CCTV cameras must be installed in all the hostels so that unnecessary people cannot enter the hostel. CCTV cameras with night vision should be installed especially in girls’ hostels. Custodians should be appointed for hostels/ashrams. It will be the responsibility of the guardian to inspect the hostel every month along with the superintendent and also to hold a meeting with the parents of the students every two months.

Minister Dr. Vijay Shah instructed all the officers that along with Rani Durgavati Training Center, e-library should also be built in the district headquarters and tribal dominated development block. He said that this work should be completed in all 8 district headquarters by the end of 2024 and this work should be completed in all 40 development blocks by the end of 2025. He said that through these training centers we can prepare tribal students for competitive examinations. For this, we can tie up training centers with reputed coaching institutes at the district or block level. Through e-library, children from remote areas will also be able to prepare for competitive exams.

Minister Dr. Vijay Shah said that such a scheme will soon be made at the government level through which all tribal students will be able to get collateral free loan to get employment-oriented technical education after 12th. In the meeting, Minister Shri Vijay Shah gave information about class 10th and 12th board exam results session 2022-23, specific institutions running under Indore division, progress of post matric scholarship scheme, progress of housing assistance scheme, progress of Forest Rights Act, pending compassionate appointment. Information about pension cases, information about pending pension cases, topics related to Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana, Vocational Training Center and Training cum Production Center etc. were reviewed.
