Rampur councilors were given training on health schemes in the workshop of National Urban Health Mission

Mayor Meenal Chaubey became a part of making all the citizens aware so that no citizen in Raipur is deprived of health facilities.

MIC member Mrs. Gayatri Sunil Chandrakar became a part of making Raipur clean and healthy.

Raipur: Today, a one-day sensitization cum orientation workshop was organized at the local hotel Babylon Capital for public participation and strengthening of public representatives in public health services under the National Urban Health Mission. Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur Mrs. Meenal Chaubey participated as the chief guest in which Municipal Corporation Health Department President Mrs. Gayatri Sunil Chandrakar presided. Chief Health and Medical Officer of Raipur Dr. Mithlesh Chaudhary was present as the special guest. The event was held in the presence of MIC members, zone chairmen, councilors, zone commissioners, zone health officers, officials of Chief Health and Medical Officer Office Raipur. Mayor Mrs. Meenal Chaubey inaugurated the orientation workshop of councilors of Raipur Municipal Corporation by lighting the lamp. Health Department Chairperson Mrs. Gayatri Sunil Chandrakar said that the implementation of the schemes of the Health Department is very good for Raipur city. All the councilors must come forward and participate in making the citizens aware. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mithlesh Chaudhary highlighted the objectives of the National Urban Health Mission, departmental activities and achievements and appealed to all the councilors to register active participation in the capital city to make the health schemes reach the people as per the intention of the state government. Mayor Mrs. Meenal Chaubey appealed to all the councilors to make the people of Raipur city aware to get the desired benefits of health schemes. The Mayor called upon the councilors to focus on making the residents of all the slums of the capital city Raipur aware. The Mayor appreciated the active contribution of Mitanins in making the health camps successful in Raipur. He said that Mitanins are doing a very good job of ensuring good health for the poor people of the urban area.

Mayor Mrs. Meenal Chaubey appealed to the councilors that no citizen in Raipur city should be deprived of health facilities. For this, Raipur Municipal Corporation will work in coordination with the Health Department. Councilors should make the work of making the general public aware by giving them information about the schemes of the Health Department. If the citizens get all the health facilities in the city and they become aware of health, then they will definitely come forward and register active participation in making Raipur city a clean, beautiful, healthy, developed and green city. Mayor Mrs. Meenal Chaubey got her blood pressure checked by visiting the health check-up stall in the workshop organized by the National Urban Health Mission. In the workshop, the councilors were given information about the Ayushman Yojana Health Smart Card. Information was given about the mandatory condition of having name in the ration card and updating the Aadhar card for making the Ayushman card. For this, information was given about the simple procedures of making Ayushman card of one’s family members or any citizen through mobile app. District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Avinash Chaturvedi gave information about TB. The councillors were informed about the symptoms, causes and diagnosis of dengue and the questions asked by the councillors were answered. The District Malaria Officer informed the councillors about the symptoms, causes and prevention of dengue malaria. He said that not a single malaria patient has been reported in Raipur for the last 3 years, therefore, administrative preparations are being made soon to declare Raipur malaria free as per the rules.

The District Malaria Officer said that dengue is a viral fever caused by the bite of a female mosquito called Aedes. Aedes mosquito breeds in stagnant clean water. There is a strong possibility of Aedes mosquito breeding in coolers due to use of coolers in summer and keeping clean water in coolers. Therefore, the users should empty the water from the coolers or else it is mandatory to clean the coolers and change the water every week. Dengue depends more on the environment of homes and the surrounding area. Therefore, maintain cleanliness in your homes and surrounding areas, become a partner in keeping the environment clean. He appealed to the councillors to work towards making the public aware about dengue. He said that a separate dengue ward is made in the district hospital. To confirm dengue it is necessary to get ELISA test done. Dengue disease is confirmed only after this. Treatment of dengue should always be done in government hospitals when viral fever occurs. Hands should be washed thoroughly with handwash before eating food and after defecation. He allayed the doubts of the councillors about anti-larva dengue. In the orientation program, information about leprosy eradication campaign, family planning program, maternal health program, mother and child protection program, Sughar Mahtari Day organized on the 15th of every month, various forms and processes of vaccination campaign was given to all the ward councillors by the doctors of Chief Health and Medical Officer Raipur office. On this occasion, the officials of the Chief Medical and Health Officer’s office got a group photo taken with Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey, MIC members, Zone Chairmen, Councillors. And on attending the National Urban Health Mission workshop, CMHO Dr. Mithlesh Chaudhary presented mementos to Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey, MIC members Mrs. Gayatri Sunil Chandrakar, Deepak Jaiswal, Mahendra Khodiyar, Amar Gidwani, Nandkishore Sahu, Bholaram Sahu, Mrs. Suman Ashok Pandey, Dr. Anamika Singh, Khem Kumar Sen, Avtaar Bharti Bagal, Santosh Seema Sahu, Zone Chairperson Gajju Sahu, Mrs. Sadhana Pramod Sahu, Amber Agarwal, Badri Prasad Gupta, Pritam Singh Thakur, Gopesh Sahu, Sachin B. Medhani, and councillors.
