Raipur – Today, the newly elected Mayor of Raipur Municipal Corporation, Smt. Meenal Chabey and 69 Ward Councillors took the oath of office and secrecy at Sardar Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium, Raipur Municipal Corporation in the presence of thousands of citizens including Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai as Chief Guest, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh as Program Chairman, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Ministers Kedar Kashyap, Ramvichar Netam, O.P. Chaudhary, Raipur Lok Sabha MP Brijmohan Agrawal, as special guests Jagdalpur MLA and State President Kiran Singhdev, Raipur West MLA Rajesh Munat, Raipur South MLA Sunil Soni, Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra, Raipur Rural MLA Motilal Sahu, Dharsiwa MLA Anuj Sharma and former Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal, former Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur and State Women Commission Chairperson Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, former Mayor Pramod Dubey, former MLA Shrichand Sundarani, Nandkumar Sahu, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur Abinash Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of Raipur Zila Panchayat Vishvadeep, Chhattisgarh The oath was taken in presence of former Chairman of State Housing Board Bhupendra Savnani, former Chairperson of Raipur Zila Panchayat Smt. Laxmi Verma, former Chairman of Raipur Municipal Corporation Prafull Vishwakarma, Sanjay Srivastava, former Leader of Opposition Subhash Tiwari, Raipur City District BJP President Ramesh Singh Thakur, former councillors, dignitaries of the city, social workers, women, young men and common people. The newly elected Mayor Smt. Meenal Chabey and 69 newly elected ward councillors of Raipur Municipal Corporation were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Raipur District Collector and Municipal Corporation Administrator Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh on the stage in groups of 10 each in 70 wards.
