Rain havoc continues in Madhya Pradesh: Heavy rain will occur for the next four days

There is a strong phase of rain in Madhya Pradesh these days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in many districts and warned that rain will continue for the next four days. Let us know what the weather is going to be like in the coming days.

What is the situation now – Monsoon is raining in full force in Madhya Pradesh. While light rain is occurring at many places, torrential rain is being faced at some places. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is likely in many districts even today. The southwest monsoon is at its peak and a low pressure area is active in northwest Madhya Pradesh. Due to this, a warning of heavy to very heavy rain has been issued in eastern Madhya Pradesh from July 13 to 15. There has also been heavy rain in western Madhya Pradesh from July 11 to 14 and its effect is visible even today.

District wise rain information – Eastern Madhya Pradesh (Jabalpur, Sagar, Rewa, Anuppur): There is a warning of heavy rain in these areas today. There is a possibility of rising water in rivers and drains, so the administration has been asked to remain alert. Western Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior): There will be light to moderate rain here, but heavy showers may also occur at some places. People should be prepared in advance to avoid the problem of waterlogging in cities. There is a possibility of lightning and strong winds (20-40 km / h) in districts like Mandla, Balaghat, and Dindori. People of these areas should take special precautions.

How much rain has it received so far  – This monsoon season, Madhya Pradesh has received 74% more rainfall than normal so far! Balaghat in eastern Madhya Pradesh has received 35 cm of rain and Raisen in western Madhya Pradesh has received 20 cm of rain. However, in some areas like Burhanpur, the rainfall has been 25% less than the average.

What will happen next – According to the Meteorological Department, the rain will continue in Madhya Pradesh for the next 2-3 days (16-18 July). There is a possibility of heavy rain in eastern Madhya Pradesh, while light to moderate rain may occur in the western parts. Therefore, everyone is advised to be cautious. Avoid going out of the house during rain, and if you have to go out, then take precautions. Especially people of eastern Madhya Pradesh should avoid going near rivers and drains. Stay away from waterlogged areas and stay in a safe place. Also caution the people around you.
