Prime Minister made cleanliness a sanskar and culture – Deputy Chief Minister Shukla
Bhopal. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that Mahatma Gandhi made the cleanliness movement a weapon in the country’s freedom struggle. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has awakened the spirit of cleanliness in the entire country. With the overall cleanliness campaign, cleanliness has increased in the country, health has improved, diseases have been controlled and our mentality has also improved. More than 12 crore toilets have been built in the country. Prime Minister Shri Modi has organized a competition for cleanliness between cities and states. In this, Indore city of our state has become the champion for the 7th consecutive time. Due to the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi, cleanliness has not only become a habit but also a sanskar and culture. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla was addressing the closing ceremony of Swachhata Pakhwada in the Town Hall of Municipal Corporation Rewa. He paid floral tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister of India Bharat Ratna Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that Municipal Corporation Rewa is making good efforts for cleanliness. Roads, flyovers and other major construction works are being continuously carried out to make Rewa beautiful and developed. Along with this, cleanliness is also essential. Keeping the city green and clean is the responsibility of every citizen. All councilors of the city should make efforts with public cooperation to keep their wards clean. The ward doing the best work in cleanliness will be given Rs 15 lakh as first prize from the MLA fund. Rs 7 lakh will be given as second prize and Rs 5 lakh will be given as third prize. Every person should come together to develop and organize Rewa.
