Bhopal. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that healthy India is the basic link for developed India. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has worked for the overall development of all citizens for developed India. All citizens have been connected to the mainstream of development through public welfare schemes in all areas of health, education, skill, employment-self-employment opportunities. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla formally launched the Ayushman Pakhwada on the occasion of completion of 6 years of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana at Civil Hospital Dr. Kailashnath Katju Bhopal.
Respect for the contribution of senior citizens
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has included senior citizens above 70 years of age in the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He said that Prime Minister Shri Modi cares about every citizen of the country. Senior citizens have participated in the construction of the country, their contribution has been respected. Now the government will bear the cost of treatment of senior citizens.
4 crore 70 lakh citizens are getting benefited
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that 4 crore 70 lakh citizens of 1 crore 8 lakh eligible families of Madhya Pradesh are getting benefited under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Recently, Madhya Pradesh has set a new record by making Ayushman cards of 4 crore citizens. At least one Ayushman card has been made for 99.81 percent of the eligible families. Ayushman cards of especially backward tribes like Baiga, Bharia and Saharia citizens are being made in mission mode.
Free and quality treatment of more than 22 lakh beneficiaries
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that more than 22 lakh beneficiaries have benefited from free and quality treatment in this scheme. More than 1,000 hospitals in the state are associated with this scheme. Treatment of 45 lakh victims has been approved with Rs 7 thousand 200 crore under the scheme.
Provision to include all accident victims in Ayushman Yojana soon
By expanding the Ayushman Bharat “Niramayam” scheme in the state, special backward tribes, Bhopal gas tragedy victims and other deprived classes have also been made eligible for the scheme. Provision is being made to include all accident victims in Ayushman Yojana soon. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla praised all the officers and employees who made efforts in the implementation of the scheme and the medical and paramedical staff who provided excellent treatment to the citizens.
Interacted with beneficiaries
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla interacted with the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and got information about their experience. Beneficiary Shri Vinod Jain told that he has undergone heart bypass surgery. He has received this treatment completely free of cost. Beneficiary Mohd. Ejaz told that he is undergoing treatment for cancer for the last 11 months and free medicines are also being made available. Another beneficiary Mr. Kamlesh Parihar, whose legs were not functioning due to an accident in childhood, is undergoing free treatment and today he is able to stand on his feet. Ms. Nandini told that her hands were not functioning due to burns from the stove in childhood, today she has received advanced treatment under Ayushman Yojana and today her hand is working due to plastic surgery. The beneficiaries have expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for this public welfare scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Shukla launched the awareness video film made on the eligibility of citizens above 70 years of age in Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Ayushman Yojana awareness song and awareness film of pilot project of telemedicine in Bhopal and Sehore district. He visited the stalls of various health services including health test, Ayushman and Aabha ID creation. The Deputy Chief Minister administered oath to the people present to ensure better health by creating awareness about Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
Prime Minister Shri Modi has taken care of the last person at the last end: Minister of State Shri Patel
Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel said that when a common man became the Prime Minister of the country, he took care of the last person at the last end. The result of this thinking is that the common man has got health security through Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman Bharat) Niramaya. The program was addressed by local MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani and Municipal Corporation President Shri Kishan Raghuvanshi. Local public representatives, departmental officers, beneficiaries of the scheme were present.
