Policy for establishment of self-reliant cow shelters in Madhya Pradesh state-2025 approved

Bhopal: The cabinet meeting was held in the ministry on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The cabinet has decided to approve the “Policy for the establishment of self-reliant cow shelters in Madhya Pradesh state: 2025” under the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department to solve the problem of destitute cows in the state.

Decision to give Rs. 40 per day per cow to Gaushalas

In order to encourage the establishment of cow shelters and in continuation of the announcement made by the Chief Minister, the Council of Ministers decided to increase the cow shelter fee from Rs. 20 per cow per day to Rs. 40 per cow per day.

Approval for changing the name of “Chief Minister Animal Husbandry Development Scheme” to “Dr. Ambedkar Development Scheme”

The cabinet decided to name the scheme as “Dr. Ambedkar Pashupalan Vikas Yojana” while continuing the Mukhyamantri Pashupalan Vikas Yojana (for the years 2024-25 and 2025-26) for increasing new employment opportunities in animal husbandry and dairy related activities in the state, increasing productivity, increasing GSDP by increasing farmers’ income and increasing contribution to the national GDP. As per the approval, credit cards will be made available to farmers at zero percent interest rate for animal husbandry activities through cooperatives. Embryo transplantation program and infertility prevention camps will be organized for breed improvement. Approval was given on the continuation of Mukhyamantri Dairy Plus program, fodder production program, award program for the state’s original bovine breed and Indian improved breed milk cows, Mukhyamantri Dairy Animal Supply Program and publicity program for providing information about the schemes and orientation to the cattle keepers.

Decision to enter into MoU with EdCIL (India) Limited to improve the quality of education in the state

The cabinet decided to enter into an MoU with EdCIL (India) Ltd., an organisation affiliated to the Government of India, for improving the quality of education in the state under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.

It is noteworthy that EdCIL (India) Limited (Mini Ratna Category-1 of Government of India), an institution affiliated to the Central Education Ministry, is a Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE). The institution will conduct various activities approved under Quality Improvement, LEP (Class VI-XII) under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in Madhya Pradesh. This includes learning enhancement workshops, learning outcome based assessment, scientific exposure visits outside the state, teacher development, continuous professional development and improvement in outcome teaching strategies.

Approval of Malhargarh (Shivna) pressurized micro irrigation project

The cabinet has given administrative approval to Malhargarh (Shivna) pressurized micro irrigation project of Mandsaur district under Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal link project costing Rs. 2932 crore 30 lakhs and catchment area of ​​60 thousand hectares. 32 villages of Malhargarh tehsil of Mandsaur district and 115 villages of Mandsaur tehsil will be benefited from the approved project.

Approval for providing government guarantee for working capital loan facility for power companies

The Council of Ministers approved providing government guarantee for working capital loan or cash credit facility to the power companies of the state.

Examination and administrative approval of programmes (schemes) funded from public finance

The Council of Ministers has approved the process of examination and administrative approval of projects falling under programs (schemes) funded by public finance. The Finance Department has been authorized to issue it.

Post facto approval of revised tender form for setting up medical colleges on PPP mode

The cabinet has given post facto approval to the revised tender form for setting up medical colleges in the state on PPP mode. Along with this, the state level empowered committee constituted for PPP projects under the chairmanship of the chief secretary has been authorized to make necessary changes in the tender form and resolve other issues.
