Police will have to be future ready: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh Police will have to be future ready to save the society from the misuse of Artificial Intelligence and the threat of cyber crime. For this, cyber desk should be established in every police station, cyber police station in every district and call center at the state level using the latest techniques of information technology. An intensive awareness campaign should also be run to save people from cyber fraud and crime. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the police should monitor the activities and messages going on social media and take immediate action against those who spread misleading and wrong news. The concerned department should be informed about law and order and other misleading news to check the facts, so that by confirming the reality, the correct information can be immediately disseminated on social media. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave these instructions in the review meeting of the Home Department held in the Secretariat. Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Mr. S.N. Mishra, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Director General of Police Mr. Sudhir Saxena and other officers were present.
Strict action should be taken against cow smugglers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that intensive monitoring should be done to dismantle the drug network. Police patrolling should be increased in the areas with possible drug related activities on a police station-wise basis and strict action should be taken against suspicious persons. Surveillance should also be increased on suspicious hookah bars, night clubs etc. To stop drug smuggling, a campaign should be run against inter-state gangs in coordination with neighboring states. Along with this, strict action should also be taken against cow smugglers. In the meeting, instructions were given to make special efforts to prevent crimes against women and to conduct activities focused on women empowerment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that strictest punishment should be ensured to those who rape minor girls. Special campaigns should be run for the recovery of missing girls.
Make necessary arrangements for awareness and investigation regarding the new criminal code
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that intensive training should be arranged at the field level for awareness regarding the new criminal code. According to the new system, budget provision should be made at the departmental level to provide pen drives, tablets etc. to the police staff as per the requirement to investigate each case and submit the challan. FSL lab should also be established in each division.
Naxal activities should be completely ended by March 2026
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the meeting regarding anti-Naxal campaign chaired by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, it was decided to completely end Naxal activities by March 2026. To achieve this goal, intensive operation should be carried out in the potential Naxal area of the state. For this, Hawk-Force should be recruited as per the requirement within a fixed time frame. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the districts where there is a possibility of public life being affected or loss of life due to the activities of wild animals, the police should remain active by coordinating and exchanging information with the forest department.
It is necessary to provide better working environment to policemen and officers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that for better police system, it is necessary to establish the credibility of police and provide better working environment to police personnel and officers. He directed to conduct necessary activities with sensitivity with the aim of providing better facilities to police families. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the process of permission and loan arrangement given by the department to policemen and officers for building their own house should be simplified. Promotion should be done after a fixed time period at every level in the police structure. Publicity of achievements and effective actions of police should also be ensured.
Recruitment should be ensured in place of retired police personnel
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to present the upcoming action plan regarding recruitment and supply of vehicles to ensure availability of police force and vehicles etc. as per future requirements. He said that recruitment should be ensured every year in the ratio in which police personnel are retiring. If more police force is required in proportion to the population of the state, then recruitment should be done accordingly. It is necessary to ensure that in the coming years, adequate police personnel and manpower is available at various levels and that cadre management remains systematic in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to restart the state level ‘Rustomji’ award to encourage policemen and officers doing excellent work. Along with this, ADG level officers were also directed to regularly visit the divisional level and review the crimes.
