On Janmashtami, Minister Dr. Shah tied Rakhi to Scheduled Caste sisters
On the auspicious festival of Janmashtami, Tribal Affairs, Public Asset Management and Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah tied Rakhi to Scheduled Caste sisters. Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Shah took blessings by tying Rakhi on the wrist of a Kotwar’s daughter in Khandwa district. He said that next year all sisters should start the tradition of tying a helmet on the head along with a Raksha Sutra on the hand to protect their brothers. This will be the true love between brother and sister. The brother will also be protected, because the silk thread will break and fall, but the helmet tied on the brother’s head will always save his life. Sisters should tie a helmet on the brother’s head and keep the brother’s hand on their head and take a pledge from him that he will never drive without a helmet. If sisters start celebrating this festival in this way, then every year the lives of lakhs of brothers can be saved from accidents. There is no bigger gift a sister can give to her brother than this.
On this occasion, Minister Dr. Shah said that Shri Ram presented a wonderful example of social harmony by embracing the boatman community. On the humble request of the boatman, he got his feet washed by his hands and then got on his boat. That is, he never considered the boatman as untouchable. Shri Ram embracing Nishadraja and requesting him to keep visiting us, a prince giving love and respect to a forest dweller like his own brother is a great standard set in the direction of social upliftment and harmony. In the world of poetry of Sur, there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, high-low, or between men and women. The incident of Sudama-Krishna reunion is another excellent example of social harmony. For social harmony, along with the government, society will also have to come forward.
