Raipur, 13 May 2025: Union Rural Development and Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan participated in the “More Housing More Rights” program organized in Ambikapur today. This program organized at the PG College ground of Ambikapur, the headquarters of Surguja division, was presided over by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. Union Minister Chauhan handed over the keys of their completed houses to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin and PM Janman Awas beneficiaries in the program and wished them. The Union Minister performed Bhoomi Pujan of the houses of the beneficiaries who started the construction of the house and also provided them with the housing approval letter. Union Minister Chouhan also got the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to enter the newly constructed 51 thousand houses and felicitated the Didis of the Self Help Group, Lakhpati Didis who have done excellent work and launched the Amrit Sarovar Portal. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that no poor will live in a kutcha house. He said that a new survey is being conducted and those who have kutcha houses will get pucca houses. He said that we had promised that if the double engine government is formed, we will build pucca houses for everyone, as soon as our government was formed, we fulfilled our promise. The houses of all the eligible beneficiaries in Chhattisgarh have now been approved.

The Union Minister said that a new India is emerging under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our resolve is to build a developed India. A developed Chhattisgarh will be created. Referring to the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, he said that three lakh Lakhpati Didis have been made in Chhattisgarh. In the coming time, we will make 4 lakh Lakhpati Didis. Every Didi associated with women’s self-help will be made a Lakhpati. Every poor person in the village will be given employment and their income will be increased. We will make farming a profitable business. Union Minister Chauhan said that we will make farming a profitable business. Praising the government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, he said that in Chhattisgarh, paddy crop is being purchased at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal. We are increasing the income of farmers. I have more than 16000 agricultural scientists. From 29 May to 12 June, agricultural scientists will come to villages and will sit with farmers at a center in 15 to 20 villages and discuss to make agriculture a profitable business. What should be done to increase the income of farmers, they will go among you, listen to your problems, see your farm, test the soil to see which type of crop the field is suitable for. Will give suggestions for the preparation of Kharif crops. Along with farming, activities like animal husbandry, horticulture will be encouraged. The Union Minister said that best wishes to all the 51000 beneficiaries who are getting the keys of their houses today. Along with this, you will get all the facilities like electricity, water. We are providing many facilities together so that there is no dearth in your life. He said that 15 thousand houses have been approved in the Naxal-affected districts of the state. He said that the labor budget will be increased in Chhattisgarh. Beneficiaries are also given 90 days’ wages for building houses. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he saluted the valor and bravery of the brave soldiers of the Indian Army. He said that India is no longer a nation that tolerates, but has become a nation that responds.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the program, said that today is a day of good fortune for Chhattisgarh, especially for the Surguja division. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who gave houses to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, has come to the holy land of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Sai said that as soon as our government was formed on 13th December, in the first cabinet meeting on 14th December, our first work was to approve 18 lakh houses. Housing will be provided to eligible beneficiaries. Chief Minister Sai said that right now the survey of Awas Plus-Plus is underway. All are requested to get their names added in the survey by 15th May. This time several relaxations have been given in the eligibility for housing. Those who have five acres of unirrigated land or two and a half acres of irrigated land, whose monthly income is up to 15 thousand rupees, those who have motorcycles have also been considered eligible for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. Sushasan Tihar is being organized in the state to solve the problems of the common people.

Chief Minister Sai said that Sushasan Tihar is being conducted in 3 phases to solve the problems of the common people. In the first phase, applications were taken from the people, in the second phase they were resolved and in the third phase, Samadhan camps are being organized. He said that he himself and the ministers are participating in the Samadhan camps. Development works are being inspected suddenly and review meetings are being held. So far I have visited 11 districts. The Chief Minister said that our government has fulfilled most of Modi’s guarantees. Under the Ramlala Darshan Yojana, devotees are being given darshan of Ayodhya Dham. Tirtha Darshan Yojana has been restarted. Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards becoming a Naxal-free state by March 2026. He said that Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras have been started in 1460 Gram Panchayats. These will be established in 5 thousand panchayats in the coming 6 months and soon these Suvidha Kendras will be established in all the panchayats. In these centres, the beneficiaries will be able to withdraw the amount of schemes like Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Social Security Pension and can get income, caste certificate etc. made. The Chief Minister said that many reforms have been done in the registration of land. Now the work of transfer will be done as soon as the registry is done, this is a big reform. The process of registry has been made transparent and smooth.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said in his address that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has raised a new hope for many homeless families across the country. The permanent houses being provided to homeless families through this scheme have not only raised the standard of living of the people but have also provided them a safe and permanent residence. He said that Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is on a tour of Chhattisgarh, and to fulfill his dreams, Griha Pravesh Utsav program is being organized across the state of Chhattisgarh today. Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary, Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, Public Health Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, Rajya Sabha MP Devendra Pratap Singh, MP Chintamani Maharaj, all the MLAs of Surguja division along with other public representatives and a large number of dignitaries were present.
