Telecom companies have planned to earn a lot from customers by making it expensive to talk on mobile phones and use the internet. Rating agency Care Rating said, it is estimated that by increasing the prices of all mobile and data plans, these companies can earn about 15 percent more from each customer.

The rating agency said in its report released on Monday, after two and a half years, telecom companies have increased mobile tariffs by up to 20 percent. This can increase their profit before tax by 20-22 percent. With this, the earnings per user (ARPU) of these companies can increase by 15 percent to Rs 220 in 2024-25. In 2022-23, it was Rs 191 on average. The agency said, with every one rupee increase in ARPU, the pre-tax profit of the telecom industry can increase by Rs 1000 crore.
