Natural farming of banana changed the fate of farmer Puranlal
Bhopal. New era, new things of new era. Traditional farming is now a thing of the past. Now is the era of natural and advanced farming. There is a huge demand for the produce of natural farming these days and there is a lot of profit in it too. Impressed by these benefits of natural farming, farmer Puranlal started cultivating banana in his field through natural method. He planted G-9 variety of banana prepared through tissue culture. By producing bananas in large quantity, Puranlal has earned 4 lakh rupees this year by selling banana produce from just one acre. Now Puranlal is getting produce from natural farming in his entire field.
Adopts integrated farming
Mr. Puranlal Inawati, who became a banana trader from a farmer, lives in Bhumka village of Harai block of Chhindwara district. Apart from cultivating bananas through natural methods, Puranlal is also growing brinjal, tomato, maize. He has also planted mango, jackfruit, amla, apple, plum, dragon fruit, lemon, orange and cashew plants in his field. Puranlal has installed drip irrigation system in his field. He is also producing manure from the remains of his crops by proper management. This manure is acting as Amrit for his crops. This is also improving the quality of the soil of his field. Along with this, the fertility of the soil is also increasing.
Known as Chhindwara Banana
Puranlal tells that the banana of his field has become famous in Jabalpur market by the name of “Chhindwara Ka Kela”. While the normal banana is sold at Rs. 15 to 18 per kg. On the other hand, his banana grown through natural methods is being sold at the rate of Rs. 25 per kg. He is getting good profit from this.
Increase in profit earned from cash crops
Apart from natural farming, Pooran Lal is also doing Kadaknath chicken farming, goat farming and fish farming business. Pooran Lal has adopted almost every method of farming. Pooran Lal has a total of 6 acres of agricultural land. By growing different types of fruits and vegetables and live cash crops in a coordinated manner, he is earning a profit of about 10 lakh rupees in a year. Other farmers of the area are very impressed with the progressiveness of Pooran Lal. They are also moving towards natural farming after taking advice from him.
