Raipur. National Startup Day was celebrated at Kalinga University today in the presence of officials from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The event was organized by Kalinga Incubation Foundation (KIF) and Institutes Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University Auditorium.
The program started with Saraswati Vandana and traditional lamp lighting. The dignitaries were welcomed with plants. Shri Pankaj Tiwari, Director, Career and Corporate Resource Center (CCRC) delivered the welcome address on Innovation and Startups. Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University, highlighted about the National Startup Day celebration and said that Kalinga University is a host institute for start-ups and provides grant amount up to Rs 15 lakh for business ideas.
He said such events offer interesting prospects for ambitious businesses. The chief guest of the program was Rajeev S, Joint Director, MSME Raipur. He shared information about micro, small and medium industries. Umesh Prasad of MSME gave valuable information on manufacturing units. The guest of honor was Dr. RN Patel, Professor, Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai and senior member of IEEE. During his address, he mentioned that students should come up with innovative ideas about cost-effective water filters, millet-based dishes, soil testing kits for farmers, spinach-based health drinks for rural people or any such ideas. Keynote speaker Agranshu Dwivedi, young CEO of CSVTU Foundation for Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship inspired the students with his inspiring stories.
Success stories were shared by successful entrepreneurs Shailendra Anand, Kavita Soni and Ayushi Chaudhary present in the meeting. The guests were honored with mementos. The vote of thanks was given by Pinky Doshi, soft skills instructor of Kalinga University. Arshpreet of Kalinga University was the instigator of the function.
