National news : Congress targets Rajya Sabha candidature of Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav

Bhubaneswar. The Rajya Sabha candidature of outgoing Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav from the BJP, supported by Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal, has upset Congress leaders. The Congress has alleged an unholy nexus between the two parties and highlighted that the pretense of equality has now ended.

In an ‘X’ post, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Sharat Patnaik said, the unholy nexus between BJD and BJP has been exposed as BJD supports BJP’s Rajya Sabha candidate. Odisha deserves better than this backroom deal. A Congress committed to the progress of the state and the welfare of the people is the only true option.

OPCC chief wrote in another post, Odisha cheated! BJD’s support to BJP’s Rajya Sabha candidate exposes their secret arrangement. Now the time has come for Odisha to reject this nexus and embrace the real voice of change – Congress. Let’s end this political opportunism and start real development.
