Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and MP Vishnudutt Sharma offered prayers at Matangeshwar Mahadev Temple located in Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district on Mahashivratri. On this occasion, Mahendra Sharma, MLAs and public representatives of the district were also with him. The Chief Minister worshiped Matengeshwar Mahadev and wished for the prosperity of the state and happy life of the citizens. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that after having darshan of Lord Matangeshwar Mahadev, on this holy festival of Mahashivratri, all of us have worshiped and anointed with mind, words and deeds. By the grace of God, the government has just been formed, and with the formation of the government, we have decided that by taking care of all the temples, worship should be done in the temple as a living unit, all kinds of activities should be carried out and all kinds of arrangements should be made there. Socially, temples became centers of rituals. I am happy that Matangeshwar Mahadev comes first in it. Which has a distinct identity in the entire region.

The Chief Minister said that people from all over the country and the world come to Khajuraho. The only reason to visit Khajuraho is the series of temples here. I and MP VD Sharma decided that all the construction work will be done for the renovation and upgradation of not only Matangeshwar Mahadev Temple but the entire area.

Dr. Mohan Yadav said that as big as Lord Shivalinga is in front of Matangeshwar Mahadev, there is lack of Nandi Griha in front of it. In coordination with the Archeology Department, a structure similar to Nandi will be made and installed here. Whatever plan is made for this Devlok, similar to the Mahalok of Mahakaal, the Madhya Pradesh government will complete it.

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the situation in Ayodhya changed, Lord Shri Ram was consecrated, Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain was constructed, a corridor was built in Banaras, similarly Khajuraho will also be developed. The Chief Minister said that when there was hail, frost and untimely rain in this area in the past, instructions were immediately given to the Collector for assessment.
