MP Board Exam: Good News for Students, “Best of Five” Scheme is Back!
MP Board Exam: The Madhya Pradesh (MP) Board has brought back the “Best of Five” scheme for its 10th board exams. This means students will pass if they get passing marks in five out of the six subjects. The scheme was initially scrapped in April 2024 but has now been reinstated. The “Best of Five” scheme is designed to help students perform better and have a higher chance of success in their 10th board exams. If a student passes five out of the six mandatory subjects, they will be considered to have passed the exam. This rule is designed to reduce exam stress and prioritize students’ mental well-being.
Here’s how the scheme works: * Students have to take exams in six mandatory subjects for the 10th grade under the MP Board. * They need to get at least the minimum passing marks (usually 33%) in five of these subjects.
* If a student is struggling with one subject, they can still pass by getting good marks in the other five.
The “Best of Five” scheme helps students in several ways: * It reduces pressure on students.
* It prevents students from failing if they are weak in one subject.
* It allows students to showcase their strengths.
The scheme was initially canceled in April 2024 to encourage students to focus equally on all subjects. However, due to public demand and the needs of students, it has been brought back. This scheme will be especially beneficial for students who are weak in one subject but perform well in others. The scheme not only boosts students’ confidence but also reduces their mental stress, allowing them to perform better in their exams.
