Male tiger cub brought from Pench Tiger Reserve to Van Vihar

A male tiger cub aged 17-18 months has been brought to Van Vihar Bhopal from Pench Tiger Reserve Seoni on 24 August 2024 on the instructions of Van Vihar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Wildlife.

It is noteworthy that the tiger cub is one of the three cubs of tigress PN04 seen in the Karmajhiri area of Pench Tiger Reserve. The mother tigress used to separate it from herself repeatedly due to its weakness. It was treated on three occasions by Mr. Akhilesh Mishra, Senior Wildlife Doctor of Pench Tiger Reserve (Seoni). Recently, this cub came out of the forest area in search of food after becoming weak and being separated by its mother. Due to its inability to hunt and for the safety of human life, it was decided to bring the tiger cub to Van Vihar National Park, Bhopal.

At present, the cub appears weak externally. The tiger cub has eaten and defecated today. Soon, its detailed health check-up will be done by the senior veterinarian of Van Vihar.
