Madhya Pradesh is leading among the fastest developing states of the country: Deputy Chief Minister Shukla

Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that the state government is giving top priority to the expansion of health infrastructure. He said that in the year 2003, there were only 5 government medical colleges in the state. Today this number has increased to 17. Two more medical colleges are being started this year and six new colleges are proposed to be started in the coming year. He said that the state government is also encouraging investment in private health and medical education sector, so that medical education and health services can be strengthened at both levels. The government’s goal is to make quality treatment accessible to every citizen and for this, work is being done on every possible resource. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla participated in MP Tak’s special program “baithak” at a private hotel in Bhopal. He discussed in detail about the development of the state, strengthening of the health system, development of Vindhya region and other contemporary topics.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is among the fastest developing states in the country. He said that the Global Investor Summit, Regional Conclave are highlighting the possibilities and investment opportunities of various sectors in the state. This is leading to comprehensive and holistic development in the entire state in sectors like health, industry, tourism, education, and infrastructure. Expert services reaching villages through telemedicine Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that the facility of experts is being made available in rural and remote areas through telemedicine. Community Health Centers (CHCs) are being developed as first referral units, so that the villagers do not have to go to the district hospital again and again and they get treatment there. He also said that the government has worked rapidly towards equipping health services at all three levels – primary, secondary and tertiary – with advanced technologies and modern equipment.

Organ and body donation is being encouraged Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that air ambulance service has been started to make emergency health services more effective. This is a sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Apart from this, he informed about the steps taken by the government to increase awareness about organ donation and body donation in the society. He said that the state government has decided that the organ donors and body donors will be paid tribute by giving them ‘Guard of Honor’ and the family members will also be honored on national festivals like Independence Day and Republic Day. This is a humanitarian initiative which will increase the spirit of service in the society. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that the Vindhya region is developing in all aspects. Vindhya region has natural potential and immense possibilities. The region has developed rapidly by strengthening the resources and using them properly with political will. Strong efforts have been made in all the fields of medicine, education, tourism, industry and infrastructure in the Vindhya region. He said that continuous efforts are being made to make Vindhya region a leader among the developed areas of India in the coming years.
