Madhya Pradesh has the potential to become the dairy capital of the country: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that in the current scenario, India is one of the youngest countries. In line with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have to make full use of youth power in national interest and development. Dairy technology opens a new path for the youth. Academic degree course of Dairy Technology is being started in Vikram University, Ujjain, the place of education of Lord Shri Krishna. Degree course in animal husbandry will now be provided to students in Ujjain along with Jabalpur. In future, this course will also be provided in other universities as per National Education Policy 2020. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the seminar organized by Animal Husbandry Department and Vikram University in the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Vikram University Ujjain on Sunday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the youth trained in dairy technology will take Madhya Pradesh to the top position in milk production with their strong determination and hard work using dairy technology. India is the world’s largest milk producing country and Madhya Pradesh ranks third in the country with a 9% share in milk production. The average milk production in the state is 673 grams, while the national average is 471 grams. We should not be satisfied with these achievements. Considering the geographical location of the state, immense water resources and fertile land, if integrated efforts are made in the right direction, we will make the country’s number-1 state in the field of dairy. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to make the state the dairy capital of the country, the government will also provide bonus to the cattle farmers on the basis of purchase of per liter of milk. Along with this, the government is also fully trying to provide adequate food for the livestock. For this, new irrigation area will be increased. The Malwa region is also rich in agriculture and will now become rich in animal husbandry as well.
The welcome address was given by Divisional Commissioner and Ujjain Milk Union Administrator Mr. Sanjay Gupta. He thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for the benefits of agriculture and animal husbandry through Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river link project and Ken-Betwa river link projects. The Registrar expressed his gratitude for the program.
The program started with Saraswati Vandana. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was given a guard of honor by NCC cadets at the venue. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Shri Arpan Bhardwaj, by presenting a shawl, coconut and a memento amid the resonance of Vedic hymns. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the activity calendar of Vikram University. Rajya Sabha MP Balyogi Shri Umeshnath Ji Maharaj, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluhera, Shri D.K. Pandey, Shri Rajesh Kushwaha and university staff and a large number of students were present in the program.
