Liton Das’ statement came before the series against India
Bangladesh’s star wicketkeeper batsman Liton Das has warned Rohit Sharma’s army by naming Pakistan before the Test series against India. He told that scoring a century in the Test series against Pakistan is a thing of the past, now his eyes are on a great performance against India.
Recently, the Bangladesh team registered a historic victory in the two-match Test series against Pakistan. The team defeated the Pakistanis in their home in both the matches and captured the series 0-2. However, Liton Das believes that the victory against Pakistan is now a thing of the past.
Defeating Pakistan is an old thing
Liton believes that defeating Pakistan is now a thing of the past. Now the team’s eyes are on performing strongly in the upcoming Test series against India. The wicketkeeper batsman said – We have played very well against Pakistan. That is already a thing of the past. Obviously, it is very important (to get past the Pakistan series) and you (the media) need to help a bit as well. It is better if you don’t talk too much about the Pakistan series. There is a big challenging series ahead (against India). For me as a player, that is a thing of the past (the Pakistan series), but we have definitely gained confidence from that. When we play India at their home, they are always a better team. I wouldn’t say it will be very challenging or very easy. They are a very good team in their conditions. If you look at the rankings, they are very high up. So I think it will be a challenging series for us.
