Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that in the last one year, development work in Madhya Pradesh has gained new momentum. Today, development projects worth thousands of crores have been started in Madhya Pradesh. Fulfilling the dream of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the foundation stone of the country’s first river linking project Ken-Betwa has been laid here today. Along with this, the foundation stone of the country’s first floating solar power project, Omkareshwar, has also been laid. For this, many congratulations and best wishes to the government of Madhya Pradesh’s “hardworking Chief Minister” Dr. Mohan Yadav and the people here. Prime Minister Modi started his address in Bundelkhandi dialect and said, ‘Ram-Ram to all those who live on Bundelkhand, the land of heroes, on our behalf with folded hands’. Prime Minister Modi said that Atal ji’s contribution to the development of the country will always be remembered. He was a symbol of good governance. Today, on the occasion of his birth centenary, construction of 1153 Atal Gram Seva Sadan is being started in Madhya Pradesh in his memory, the first installment of which has also been released. Good governance is the identity of our government. Public interest, public welfare and development are paramount for us. We are dedicated to the common people. The freedom fighters shed their blood for the country, we sweat to fulfill their dreams. Along with good schemes, implementing them and delivering their benefits to 100% beneficiaries is the measure of good governance.
The doors of prosperity and happiness of Bundelkhand region will open Prime Minister Modi said that the Ken-Betwa Link Project will open the doors of prosperity and well-being of the Bundelkhand region. The Bundelkhand region has struggled for every drop of water, but the previous governments did not find any permanent solution to the water crisis. Even after seven decades of independence, disputes over river water continued between the states, but no concrete efforts were made to resolve them. When Atal Ji’s government was formed, he found a permanent solution to this in the form of river linking and the work was also started, but it was stopped after 2004. Today Atal Ji’s dream of linking rivers is going to be realised on the land of Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi also praised Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s vision and efforts made for the development of Jal Shakti and water resources.
The fate of Gujarat changed with the blessings of Maa Narmada Prime Minister Modi said that water problem is one of the biggest challenges of the 21st century. Only that country will progress which has sufficient water and its proper management. Gujarat used to face droughts but with the blessings of Maa Narmada, the fate of Gujarat changed. Madhya Pradesh made drought-hit Gujarat water-rich. Prime Minister Modi said that today I have come to fulfill the promise I had made to the sisters and farmers of Bundelkhand with an irrigation project worth Rs 45 thousand crores. Today the foundation stone of Daudhan dam has been laid here. The canal that will come out of this will irrigate about 11 lakh hectares of area.
This decade will be remembered as the decade of water security and water conservation Prime Minister Modi said that this decade will be remembered as the decade of water security and water conservation in the country. In the last seven decades, only 3 crore families in the country had access to tap water. Our government has provided tap water to 12 crore new families in the last 5 years. Under Jal Jeevan Mission, 2100 water quality labs have been set up across the country to test the quality of drinking water and 25 lakh women have been educated. Pure drinking water also prevents diseases.
Incomplete irrigation projects were completed Prime Minister Modi said that before 2014, 100 big irrigation projects were incomplete in the country, our government has completed them by spending thousands of crores of rupees. Micro irrigation is being done in one crore hectare of land in the country using modern methods. In Madhya Pradesh, micro irrigation is being done in 5 lakh hectare of land in the last 10 years. On completion of 75 years of independence, 75-75 Amrit Sarovars are being built in every district of the country. Under the “Catch the Rain” campaign, more than 3 lakh recharge wells have been built. Atal Bhujal Yojana has been implemented wherever the groundwater level was low in Madhya Pradesh and other states.
Madhya Pradesh is included in the 10 most attractive tourist destinations of the world Prime Minister Modi said that our Madhya Pradesh is number one in tourism. According to a report of an American newspaper, Madhya Pradesh is among the 10 most attractive tourist destinations in the world. Our government is increasing facilities for tourists from the country and abroad. E-visa facility has been started for foreign countries. MP tourism was promoted in the G-20 meeting held in Khajuraho. Heritage and wildlife tourism is being expanded in the country. There is an unprecedented possibility of this in Madhya Pradesh. Eco tourism and heritage tourism are being expanded under the Centre’s Swadesh Darshan Yojana. Gandhi Sagar, Bansagar, Indira Sagar, Omkareshwar, Sanchi, Khajuraho, Gwalior Orchha, Chanderi, Mandu etc. are very important from the tourism point of view. Efforts will be made to increase tourism in Panna Tiger Reserve through the link canal of Ken-Betwa Yojana.
India is the third largest economic power in the world Prime Minister Modi said that India is going to become the third largest economic power in the world. Today the world wants to know India. In the last two decades, Madhya Pradesh has done important work in many areas. In the coming years, Madhya Pradesh will be one of the top economies of the country. As a result of the development work being carried out at a rapid pace in the state, there will be a developed Bundelkhand, developed Madhya Pradesh and developed India. Our double engine government is continuously working with honesty. Prime Minister Modi said that good governance means that people do not have to beg for their rights and do not have to run around government offices. For good governance, we have also made full use of technology, which has stopped fraud. Jan-Dhan bank accounts of the poor were opened and linked to Aadhaar and mobile. Now the amount of schemes like Kisan Samman Nidhi, Ladli Behna etc. is reaching their accounts directly. “One Nation-One Ration Card” scheme is being run to provide free ration to the poor without any hassle. While removing the current challenges of good governance, we are also working on future challenges.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the Bhagirath of the modern era in the context of Madhya Pradesh. He said that just as Ganga Ji, which descended due to the efforts of King Bhagirath, gave a new life to everyone, similarly Prime Minister Modi has ushered in a new era in India. Along with the launch of Ken Betwa Link Project, the launch of Parvati-Kali Sindh-Chambal Link Project costing Rs 35 thousand crore a few days ago was historic. These projects will provide drinking water and irrigation facilities to Chambal, Malwa and the entire Bundelkhand region and will provide water to industries. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi had visited Bundelkhand region thrice in the past. In these visits, he understood the problems of Bundelkhand and today gave gifts like celebrating Holi and Diwali to the people of the region. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi on behalf of the people of the state for the gift.
Inauguration of Omkareshwar Solar Project is the result of innovative initiative of Prime Minister Modi Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all arrangements for good governance are being made in the state under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Modi. Along with worrying about all sections including the poor, youth, farmers, Prime Minister Modi has also made democracy flourish. That is why it became possible for a person from a poor farmer family to become the Chief Minister. The state received gifts every day during Jan Kalyan Parv Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Jan Kalyan Parv, which was started on the completion of 1 year of the state government, is being completed. During this period, gifts have been given to the state every day since 11 December (Gita Jayanti). Prime Minister Modi’s gift of Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal link project costing Rs 35 thousand crore and the Bhoomi Pujan of Ken-Betwa link project costing more than Rs 44 thousand crore is a very big and important gift for the state. On the occasion of the conclusion of the Jan Kalyan Parv, Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of river linking projects worth more than Rs 30 thousand crore have been done today along with gifts of about Rs 75 thousand crore, thus works worth more than 1 lakh 10 thousand crore are taking shape in the state today.
In Jankalyan Abhiyan, the needy are being connected to schemes by going door to door Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi believes that our government should be accountable to the public and the public should get their rights. That is why, along with Jan Kalyan Parv in the state, Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Abhiyan is being run at village and ward level from 11 December to 26 January. In the campaign, eligible beneficiaries are being surveyed and the benefits of 76 poor-friendly and 53 individual schemes are being provided through camps. So far, more than 7 thousand camps have been organized, in which more than 5.5 lakh applications were received, out of which 3 lakh applications have been resolved. In the campaign, which is being run with the objective of going to the people’s homes and talking about the public’s welfare, the government staff is going door-to-door to the needy people and providing them the benefits of the schemes.
The state has received proposals worth Rs 4 lakh crore for industrial activities Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government has decided to celebrate the year 2025 as the Industry Year. Six regional industry conclaves have been held in the state, in which investment proposals of Rs 2 lakh 7 thousand crore and more than 1 lakh crore were received from road shows held in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Kolkata and Rs 20 thousand crore through the mining conclave held in Bhopal. Proposals worth Rs 78 thousand crore have also been received from UK and Germany tour. Thus, the state has received proposals worth Rs 4 lakh crore jointly for industrial activities, which will create employment opportunities for the local people of the state.
Two and a half lakh posts will be filled in the next 5 years Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a resident of Gwalior. Prime Minister Modi’s arrival in Madhya Pradesh on his 100th birth anniversary is historic. Giving information about the innovations started by the state government in the last 1 year, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Gurukul tradition has been started in the state. More than one lakh recruitments will be done on government posts and more than two and a half lakh posts will be filled in 5 years. Along with the implementation of the new education policy, PM Excellence Colleges are being established in 55 districts. It has been decided to make the degree and mark sheet of students available through DigiLocker.
Prime Minister Mr Modi is making Atalji’s dream come true: Union Minister Mr Patil Union Minister for Jal Shakti C.R. Patil said that the dream of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s river linking campaign is going to be fulfilled today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He knows very well that river linking project can prove to be an important step in those areas where there is scarcity of water. Recently, Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal project has also been started under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, which will benefit the state and the neighboring state of Rajasthan. Work is now being done to complete the projects which have been incomplete for many decades. In this series, Namami Gange program was started.
