Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ is going to release on this day

Mumbai. Actress Kangana Ranaut is in the news these days about her upcoming film ‘Emergency’. Kangana Ranaut has played the role of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi in the political drama film Emergency. In this film, the actress has recreated the Shimla Agreement of late Indira Gandhi and former Pakistan President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The actress herself has produced and directed Emergency. Kangana Ranaut considers this film to be the most ambitious film of her career.

It was signed on 2 July 1972 in Shimla, India on behalf of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and President of Pakistan Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. This agreement formally ended the India-Pakistan war of 1971. Its objective was to establish peace, require India to withdraw its troops, resolve the Kashmir issue and promote better relations.

The movie ‘Emergency’, written and directed by Kangana Ranaut, also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and late Satish Kaushik in lead roles. Produced by Zee Studios and Manikarnika Films, the film has music composed by Sanchit Balhara and screenplay and dialogues by Ritesh Shah. ‘Emergency’ is scheduled to hit the screens on June 14, 2024.
