Journalists should strengthen their credibility in the society with unbiased news
Bhopal. Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that in today’s era, there is a rapid change in the field of journalism. In this era, questions have been raised on the impartiality of journalists due to many reasons. He said that even in the changing times, journalists can strengthen their credibility among the public with their unbiased news. Minister Vijayvargiya was addressing the National Officer Meeting of National Union of Journalist (India) in Bhopal today. On this occasion, discussions were held regarding the “changing scenario and challenges of media” through a seminar. Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Radha Singh and MLA Singrauli Ramniwas Shah were also present in the program.
Minister Vijayvargiya said that through democracy, everyone has got equal rights in the society. Because of this, the rights of journalists are also limited. He said that along with print and electronic media, social media has also expanded. In this expansion, dangers have also increased in the society regarding the responsibility of news. He suggested that journalists should set their own standards and present ideals in the society. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that after the independence of the country, the newly formed governments have increased appeasement in the country. This created an atmosphere of inequality in the society. After the year 2014, the government of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took an important decision by abolishing Article 370 in the interest of the country. He said that through the Constitution, equal rights have been given to the citizens of every state of the country. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that in the last 10 years, India has achieved remarkable achievements in all fields. Due to this, India’s credibility in the world has strengthened and the world listens to India’s voice with full seriousness.
Minister of State Radha Singh said that regional journalism has its own importance. National level news is made from regional news. He also emphasized on continuous training of regional journalists. The program was also addressed by NUJ National President Rasbihari, National General Secretary Pradeep Tiwari, Absolute Gramya’s Dr. Pankaj Shukla, Zonal Coordinator and Media Incharge Dr. B.K. Reena, SOR Supreme Court Ashwani Dubey. Representatives from 13 states across the country participated in the seminar.
