In this plan, both employees and employers contribute equally. However, it’s not uncommon for employers to fail to deposit their share into employees’ EPF accounts. If you want to find out whether money is being deposited into your EPF account, you can easily check your balance using these four straightforward methods.

1. Check Your Balance via SMS

You can send an SMS from your registered mobile number to find out your EPF balance. Just text one of the following messages to 7738299899:

  • For information in Hindi: EPFOHO UAN HIN
  • For information in English: EPFOHO UAN ENG

You will receive details about your EPF account through this SMS.

2. Check Your EPF Balance Using the UMANG App

First, download the UMANG app and log in. In the app, search for “EPFO” in the search bar. Click on “View Passbook,” and enter your UAN number and password. You’ll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number; enter that and click “Submit.” Now you can view your passbook and check your EPF balance.

3. Check Your Balance on the EPFO Website

Go to the EPFO official website. Navigate to the “For Employees” section and click on “Services.” Then select “Know your EPF Account Balance.” Enter your UAN number, password, and captcha code. Click “Sign In,” then go to “Passbook” and select your EPF account. Now you can see your EPF balance.

4. Use the EPFO Mobile App

You can also download the EPFO mobile app from the app store. After logging in, navigate to the “Member” section and select “EPF Balance.” Enter your UAN and other required details to access your balance quickly. Now, with these four methods, you can effortlessly check your EPF balance and ensure that the correct contributions are being made to your account!
