Indore Robbery: Fired Constable and Driver Wore Burqas to Escape with ₹1.5 Crore and Gold

Indore: Fired Cop and Loader Driver Arrested for ₹1.5 Crore and 25 Tola Gold Theft
A dismissed police constable and a loading vehicle driver have been arrested for stealing ₹1.5 crore and 25 tolas of gold from Shubh-Labh Prime (Khajrana). The mastermind behind the theft was salon owner Shivali Jadon, who wanted revenge on her live-in partner, Ankush Singh.
The Plan Behind the Heist
After the theft, Shivali went to the police station in tears and filed a complaint. However, after scanning footage from over 1,000 CCTV cameras, the police uncovered the entire conspiracy and arrested all three. According to ACP (Sanyogitaganj) Tushar Singh, Shivali reported the theft on March 13. She owns a salon in Geeta Bhavan and lived with Ankush in a live-in relationship. Recently, Ankush had sold a salon in Saket Nagar and kept ₹1.54 crore in cash inside a wardrobe. Shivali had ₹5 lakh in cash and 25 tolas of gold stored separately. Using CCTV footage, police arrested Hira Bahadur alias Heeru Thapa and Pintu Mehra on Saturday night. They recovered ₹79.50 lakh in cash along with stolen gold jewelry. Heeru, who happens to be Shivali’s brother-in-law, carried out the theft with Pintu under her instructions.
A Betrayal Fueled by Revenge
Shivali was already married and had a son. Meanwhile, despite being in a live-in relationship with her, Ankush was reportedly involved with other women. Seeking revenge, she plotted the robbery with Heeru and Pintu. Now, Shivali has also been arrested for planning the crime.
The Execution: A Quick and Clever Getaway
Heeru, a dismissed police constable, had full access to the plan thanks to Shivali, who provided him with the house key and details about the cash. On the morning of the theft, he arrived with Pintu and another associate, Praveen. To create a disguise, Heeru and Pintu wore burqas and entered the building. They retrieved the key from a shoe rack and within just two and a half minutes, stole the bag full of cash and jewelry. The two escaped on an unregistered scooter. To mislead the police, they switched to a car (MP 09 CU 4913) taken from Praveen in the Aath Meel area, removed their disguises, and even made a trip to Chapda (Dewas) before returning. However, their attempts to throw off the cops failed, leading to their eventual arrest.
