Independence Day: This time, along with the women, the bagpiper band of the male police force will also be included

raipur. Like every year, this year too, Independence Day will be celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at the Police Parade Ground in the capital Raipur. On August 15, at 9 am, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will hoist the flag and take the salute of the parade. This year, the Chhattisgarh women’s and male police bagpiper band will be the main center of attraction in the celebrations. To finalize the preparations for the Independence Day celebrations, a full dress rehearsal was held at the Police Parade Ground this morning. In the presence of the state’s Director General of Police, Mr. Ashok Juneja, Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and SSP Santosh Singh took stock of the arrangements made for the celebrations. In today’s full dress rehearsal, the Chief Minister’s security officer reached the Police Parade Ground as the chief guest and hoisted the flag. He inspected the parade and also took the salute of the march past. During this, celebratory firing was also done.

18 platoons will do an attractive march past- On the occasion of Independence Day, 18 platoons will do an attractive march past under the leadership of Police Parade Ground. ADG Vivekanand will be in charge of the entire parade. He will be assisted by DIG D. Shravan, Commanded 3rd Corps Shri Arvind Kujur and 4th Corps Chhattisgarh Praful Thakur. Parade Commander will be C.S.P. Ravindra Kumari Meena, Parade Commander Reserve C.S.P. Rohit Kumar Shah, Parade’s 2IC will be Shubham Tiwari. In this parade, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, Chhattisgarh Armed Force’s male and female platoons, Chhattisgarh Police, Jail Police, City Army’s male and female platoons and N.C.C.’s boy and girl platoons along with horse riding team and police band platoon will also participate in the march past. This time in the Independence Day celebrations, Odisha Police’s platoon will also participate in the march past as an invited guest platoon.

Police officers will be given medals and decorations- Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Saath will also honour police officers with medals and decorations in the Independence Day function. Indian Police Medal, Police Medal for Gallantry, President’s Police Medal, Home Defence and Civil Defence Commendable Service Medal and Director General of Police Award will be given in the function. Along with this, state level awards like Governor’s Award, Chief Minister’s Award, Rani Subarna Kunwar Award and Veeranarayan Singh Award will also be given.

Attractive cultural presentations will also be given by school students- This time around 850 school students will give attractive cultural presentations in the Independence Day function. Children of Krishna Public School Tulsi, J.R. Dani Government Girls, Sages Shaheed Memorial School Fafaadih and Government Higher Secondary School Mathpurena School will present in it.
