In Bijapur encounter, several weapons including INSAS rifle, BGL Launcher and bodies of 08 Naxalites were recovered from Naxal hideouts
After the encounter, bodies of 08 Naxalites have been recovered so far.
Many weapons including INSAS rifle, BGL Launcher recovered from Naxalite hideouts.
There is a possibility of many more Naxalites being killed or injured in the encounter.
Patrol search operation is still going on in the surrounding area.
Date 31/01/2025: On the information of the presence of armed Maoists of West Bastar Division under the banned Maoist organization in Thana Gangalur area, a joint team of DRG, STF, Cobra 202 and CRPF 222 battalion had left for anti-Maoist operation. During the operation, there were several intermittent encounters between the joint team and the Maoists from 08.30 am today. After the encounter, bodies of 08 Naxalites have been recovered in the search so far. Many weapons including INSAS rifle, BGL Launcher recovered from Naxalite hideouts. There is a possibility of many more Naxalites being killed or injured in the encounter. Patrol search operation is still going on in the area. Detailed information will be given separately.
