Horticulture and food processing entrepreneurs should work by setting a target to double the production in 5 years: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that entrepreneurs and farmers engaged in food processing and horticulture should work by setting a target to double their activities and production capacity in the next 5 years. The state government is ready to provide them all possible financial and technical assistance. He said that our state located in the middle of the country has the special blessings of God. Madhya Pradesh is suitable for horticulture and other activities necessary for food processing due to the availability of the benefits of all seasons along with protection from natural disasters. The state also has the necessary infrastructure related to means of transportation, electricity, water, roads and storage. The state government is committed to provide a favorable environment for investment and entrepreneurship in accordance with the wishes of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the one-day state level buyer-seller conference of food processing producers of the state after lighting the lamp and inaugurating it in Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the exhibition of products in Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium and observed it and discussed with the sellers and producers. Millet ice cream was the center of attraction in the exhibition. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was presented with a “Sundarja” mango plant in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav transferred an amount of Rs 28 crore 35 lakh to the accounts of 881 beneficiaries of PMFME scheme with a single click. On this occasion, a short film focusing on the success stories of entrepreneurs was also screened. Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner Shri S.N. Mishra were present.
The innovations being done by the young generation of the state are commendable
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that as a result of the visionary thinking of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in the present circumstances, the country is moving towards economic prosperity and becoming the third economy of the world. A favourable environment has been created in the state for investment and industrial activities and a series of regional industry summits are being held continuously to expand these activities. In these summits, special attention is being paid to food processing activities including agriculture. Difficulties in setting up units in this sector are being removed on priority. The innovations being made in this direction by the young generation of the state are commendable.
Ms. Shraddha Khare of Gwalior and Rekha Sharma of Vidisha shared their experiences
In a discussion with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, entrepreneur Shraddha Khare of Gwalior and entrepreneur Mrs. Rekha Sharma of Kurwai (Vidisha) told that a large number of local people have been provided employment in the food processing units run by them. They are also making the processed products of the state available in the cities of America. Sharma told that in Kurwai Vidisha, agriculture and horticulture related activities are also being conducted by them through tissue culture.
Work on hi-tech nursery in the state continues: Testing lab to be set up in Bhopal division
Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has taken the initiative to provide incentives to people traditionally engaged in trade, business and industrial activities along with big industrialists by organizing industrial summits at the regional level. Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha said that such schemes are being implemented on priority in the state, which create more employment opportunities in the field of food processing and horticulture. In this regard, innovations made in other states will also be followed. Referring to the award received by the state recently in food processing in New Delhi, he said that work on hi-tech nursery is going on in the state. Along with this, a testing lab will also be established in Bhopal division. Farmers often suffer losses due to excessive yield of tomatoes and other crops. Our effort is to develop a system for processing such crops at the local level, so that farmers can be saved from the loss of their hard work and cost. Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner S.N. Mishra also expressed his views in the conference.

It is noteworthy that this conference was organized with the aim of providing national and international recognition to the products and horticultural material manufactured in the micro food processing enterprises of the state and to provide a common platform to buyers and sellers, to provide guidance to interested farmers regarding advanced technology, possibilities in the processing sector, market linkage, government schemes. Along with the display of advanced machines in the conference, information was also provided regarding branding, marketing and export possibilities of products.
